Fun Outdoors Activities for Families with Kids

Cool Things to Do Outside that Keep Kids Busy

With summer in full swing, people are spending more time outdoors. This is great for families with kids! There are so many things to do outside that will keep your family busy all day long. Whether you want a quick game of catch or something more adventurous like bike riding, there is an activity out there for everyone. The following article lists 12 outdoor activities that can be done as a family and make the most of our beautiful weather. The lunchtime service allows you to browse a wide variety of activities.

Take a hike together; hiking is an awesome way to get exercise and enjoy the outdoors at the same time. If you’re hiking with smaller kids, be sure to only plan hikes for their level of difficulty, which will help ensure they stay safe along the trail as well!

-Play soccer in the yard. Soccer is a great game for kids and families because it can be played with so many people at once! A quick game of soccer in the backyard or on the beach will keep your family entertained while they get some exercise as well.

Lunchtime

-Head to an outdoor concert together. Outdoor concerts are fun, especially when you’re sharing them with other families that have their own little ones running around too! You’ll enjoy listening to music (or just sitting back and relaxing) without having to worry about being indoors, which is always nice during warmer months.

-Grab dinner from one of your favorite food trucks outdoors instead of inside this summer. Eating outside not only feels like less work but also allows everyone in attendance easier access to any messes.

-Go swimming . Whether you’re headed to a public pool with your kids or packing up the car for an impromptu trip to their grandparents’ house, swimming is always a great idea!

-Go on a bike ride together. Bike rides are perfect for families that want something fun and active to do but don’t have hours of time they can devote each day in order to go hiking or playing at the beach.

-Play catch outside instead of inside. There’s no need to worry about throwing someone else’s ball into another room when you can easily keep it right by your feet while still enjoying some fresh air and sunshine!

-Take a walk around town during dinner time so everyone gets out and enjoys what their neighborhood has to offer after dark without having to worry about the safety of kids.
